Inji Efflatoun (1924-1989): The Toiler's PaintbrushSherwet Shafei features valuably in a recently produced documentary biopic on the life of Egypt’s foremost artist-activist Inji Efflatoun (1924-1989). The film premiered on Al Jazeera Documentary channel and aired throughout March, before becoming available on Youtube.
This is in conjunction with Safarkhan's commemorative centennial collection for the great pioneer which opens on her birthday a century to the day, this will be the first of its kind at Safarkhan, and more than an exhibition it will constitute a comprehensive biographical exposé as we pay homage to Efflatoun’s life and works in the only manner befitting of her enduring legacy.Remembering Inji

This Season at Safarkhan...
2024-2025This season at Safarkhan promises to be another eventful and exciting one as we bring to you the exploits of both fresh and established talents across Modernist and contemporary genres of Egyptian art in a way that nowhere else can. Typically, our season begins around late September or early October, and ends in May, with solo and group exhibitions running for approximately three weeks, before we enter the summer months with a staple collective show featuring the highlights of the past year.Throughout the year we are also constantly engaged in various collaborative events and projects with leading institutions and organisations, for commercial, cultural and philanthropic endeavours. At Safarkhan, we value our client relationships. If you are interested in an artwork, click on the artwork image and then use the enquiry button, and our dedicated team will endeavor to respond in a thorough and timely manner. We ship worldwide using our preferred courier DHL with which we offer special rates. Overseas clients may request a shipping quotation which we will obtain as an approximate estimate prior to purchase. Final shipping costs may vary after reweighing procedures.Reserves & Returns
We offer complimentary reservation of artworks at our discretion for a maximum period of 24 hours, after which a downpayment of at least 50% is required. All sales are final and we do not process returns.

All dimensions of artworks are disincluding the frame, and artworks framed behind glass are marked as such. We offer custom framing options as an after-sales service at an additional cost. We furnish an official Certificate of Authenticity (CoA), upon request, for any artwork sold through Safarkhan.collaborative projects
Our collaborative engagements involve partnerships with various public and private organizations that share our vision, for the purposes of promoting Egyptian art. We provide a short and long-term loan service of artworks to institutions and businesses for special projects and events.Educational resources
